Anyway, the article mentions this fabulous site called MizPee. You can use it to help you find the cleanest public restroom near you! It's so cool that I've added a link in the side bar. Click here to see what I found when I searchd our area of Boston. There's another site just for you New Yorkers out there: Diaroogle (gross name!).
The article also explains that the toilet seat, unless wet, is usually one of the cleanest parts of the bathroom and they encourage people to end their hovering habits. The floor is, apparently, disgusting (duuuhhhh - that's why I thought the cell phone incident was so disturbing!).
By the by, the two who did the research discussed in this article are way creepier than I am:
